This day is filled with exciting rapids, placid pools perfect for
swimming, inviting pristine tributary creeks, and colorful bird
life set amongst the beautiful scenery of this very remote and seldom
seen region. Delicious campfire cuisine and camping just upstream
of the spectacular cataract of Chulac.

While preparing breakfast and breakdown campsite, transport rafts

where the river enters a rugged canyon of unspoiled natural beauty,
sprinkled with a liberal dose of exhilarating rapids, tranquil pools
and natural hot springs, we've dubbed "The Little Paraiso".
By mid-afternoon reach the take-out point at the small village of
Cahaboncito. Switching from the rafts to an awaiting vehicle, transfer
overland a short distance to El Estor. Dinner and hotel lodging
in El Estor.

from the bridge or make a short visit to the "Castillo San
