Quirigua - Copan private van transfer ARCHAEOLOGICAL Quirigua and Copan, Honduras Day 1 ANTIGUA-GUATEMALA CITY / COPAN, HONDURAS Depart from Antigua at 5 am, from Guatemala City at: 6:00am, Continue to the border with Honduras. Cross immigration into Honduras . Check in at your hotel in the town of Copan Ruinas. We have set up this tour with the Hotel Brisas de Copan; however, we can easily upgrade you to Hotel Marina Copan or any other hotel you prefer. After you have settled in, take a tuk-tuk, a motor-taxi, to the site to meet your guide. (Contact us for a non-guided tour price). Enjoy all afternoon at the site. Lunch or snacks are available at the entrance of Copan or when you return to your hotel in the afternoon. Entrance fee to the site is included, however, if you wish to take the tunnel tour to view the Rosalia temple underneath the Acropolis of Copan this is an extra $15 per person. Time permitting you can view the Rosalia museum or the town museum whose entrance fees are $7 and $5 respectively. Return to your hotel when the park closes. Enjoy a dinner at your hotel or in one of the many restaurants in the town. Internet cafes are available. Day 2 COPAN, HONDURAS / QUIRIGUA / GUATEMALA CITY Early Departure from Copan. Cross into Guatemala. Arrive to the site of Quirigua. Take your time visiting this small but impressive site. Marvel at the similarities in artistic style between Quirigua and Copan it's founding city. See first hand the influence the power K'ak' Tiliw Chan Yoaat gained when he ambushed Copan's king, Waxaklajuun Ub'aah K'awill. Box lunch at the site. Board van for evening arrival to Guatemala City.
