If you would prefer to pay by credit card, Maya Expeditions uses the PayPal.com online credit card processing service. This service keeps our administrative costs low to offer you the best prices for great trips to the Maya Expeditions

Once signed up, to use PayPal you simply:

1) Log in to your account

2) Choose “Send money”

3) Enter info@mayaexpeditions.com as the recipient’s email address

4) Enter the amount you are paying ($1000, the most you can send from an unverified account)

5) Select “Service” as the type

6) Enter something like “xxxx trip deposit/final payment” under “Email subject”

7) Enter whatever comments you may have under ‘Note”

8) Click continue

9) Double-check your payment information and click “Send money”. Easy!

If your total trip amount is more than $1000, you will have to go thru PayPal’s verification process if you want to use this option for the final payment. This verification process eliminates the possibility of credit card fraud

Note that you will be able to send us your initial deposit immediately without waiting for account verification

In a nutshell, during the verification process you will provide the routing information and account number for your checking account. PayPal will then make two small deposits (each under 99 cents) to your account. When this occurs, you verify these deposits with PayPal, verifying your identity. IMPORTANT: PayPal will NOT have access to your checking account! The account information you provide is for PayPal to make these deposits only, and will be held in confidentiality.
