Languages: English-Spanish
Al Argueta is a Guatemalan-American photographer. After graduating
from Penn State University in 1998 with a degree in journalism
and Latin American studies, he went on to complete additional
coursework in photography at the University of the Nations
in Kona, Hawaii during 2001. Since then he has traveled throughout
Central America, Europe, the United States and Asia gathering
images for sale as stock, fine art, editorial and calendars.
He currently works at G. Russ Images, in Austin, the largest
commercial studio in Texas where he is fine-tuning his skills
with interior lighting and architecture photography.
Al loves adventure travel photography and his favorite place
to photograph is still Guatemala because of the spectacular
color and beauty evident in the landscape and the country's
wonderful people. He has co-led other workshops in Guatemala,
including the Antigua photography workshops offered by Liza
Fourre.
