| Max Baldetty (Batichico) - 20 years old
Currently studying at the University of San Carlos at CEMA,
(Centro Estudios del Mar y Acuacultura) Center of Ocean and
Acuaculture Studies, in Guatemala.
Acua culture is the study of the production of the species
of the sea. but his real dream is marine biology.
Some of his diving has been with the intention for studying
the various species of the sea. Often with the hope of finding
medicinal properties for cancer and HIV.
Max starting rafting with Maya Expeditions at the mere age
of 14 years old. His love of the sport gave him ample experience
for the rafting training and when he turned 18 years old he
started working as a raft guide.
Born in Guatemala he moved to California with his family
at 4 years old. At 12 years old his Mom and he returned to
Guatemala. In a short time he was climbing the volcanoes of
Guatemala. At 13 he and his friends formed a hiking team to
do a mini eco-challenge of hiking, kayaking, mountain biking,
rappelling, volcano climbing, and swimming in the beautiful
areas of Guatemala.
His love for the Guatemalan Culture has kept him here as
his base. His dream is to travel the world.

Besides rating he Scuba dives and is training to be a Dive
master.
