Paul Scharf has been an avid birder for more than 36 years.
He is a member of the American Birding Association (ABA) and
since his retirement from the U.S. Armed Forces Paul has dedicated
more time to his passion.
In 1997, with 20 years experience in Latin America, he is
ranked 115th Worldwide, 14th in South America and 2nd in Central
America for a registered count of more than 3300 species seen
and identified. Out of 680 Guatemala species he has seen 588.
His professionalism, personality and extensive bird-tour experience
